Title: Concealed Weapons
Vote to override the veto of a bill that allows Wisconsin residents no less than 21 years old who have had firearms training to apply for a permit to carry concealed handguns, knives, billy clubs, and electric weapons. The bill requires renewal of the permit every five years, allows a business owner or a person in his or her own home to prohibit concealed weapons, and prohibits any person from carrying a concealed weapon while having a blood alcohol concentration higher than 0.02. The bill also specifies that concealed weapons cannot be carried in a police station, a sheriff's office, a state patrol station, a prison or jail, a court house, a restaurant with a liquor license, a place of religious worship, a school administration building, or a public school, among other specified locations.
