Vote to pass a bill that raises license fees for the sale of alcoholic beverages, prohibits all sale of liquor between 1 AM and 9 AM, and requires a special license for all license-holders wishing to sell alcoholic beverages on Sundays.
Highlights:
-Increases the biennial license fee to sell liquor from a hotel, taproom, restaurant, or store, not for consumption on the premises, from $500 to $1000 (Sec. 1).
-Increases the biennial license fee for importation of beer and wine into the state from $1500 to $3000 (Sec. 1).
-Increases the biennial license fee for importation of alcoholic liquor into the state from $5000 to $7500 (Sec. 1).
-Excludes from the license fee alcohol sales and imports for the purposes of scientific or pharmaceutical research and production (Sec. 1).
-Increases the biennial fee for license-holders who wish to sell alcohol on Sundays from $200 to $500 (Sec. 3).
