Vote to pass a bill that would amend the Regional Convention Facility Authority Act, enacted in 2008, to allow the legislative body of a qualified city (Detroit) to disapprove the transfer of a qualified convention facility (Cobo Hall) to a regional convention facility authority after May 1, 2009, and before July 1st 2009, therefore dissolving the Regional Convention Authority. Without the passage of an act declaring disapproval, the qualified convention facility will be transferred to the Authority on July 1st 2009.
