Vote to override a veto of a bill that creates dispensaries called compassion centers to legally sell medical marijuana in the state.

Highlights:
-Defines a compassion center as a not-for-profit entity that acquires, possesses, cultivates, manufactures, delivers, transfers, transports, supplies, or dispenses marijuana (Sec. 1). -Enables one registered qualifying patient to give marijuana to another registered qualifying patient (Sec. 1). -Allows compassion centers to acquire, possess, and cultivate medical marijuana to sell to registered qualifying patients and their registered primary caregivers (Sec. 2). -Allows applications to be submitted for the formation and operation of a compassion center, reviewed by the state Department of Health within 90 days of the effective date of the act (Sec. 2). -Establishes up to three compassion centers within two years of the effective date of the act (Sec. 2). -Sets a limit on the amount of marijuana that can be dispensed; a compassion center may not dispense more than 2.5 oz. of usable marijuana to a qualifying patient or a caregiver in a fifteen day period (Sec. 2).
