Highlights:
-Prohibits abortions performed or induced on a woman without her voluntary and informed consent, given freely and without coercion, and requires that signs stating this be prominently posted in any abortion facility (Sec. A.1).
-Requires that the physician who is to perform the abortion inform the woman at least twenty-four hours prior, orally and in person, of certain information about the procedure, including the gestational age of the fetus and any immediate and long-term medical risks for the woman (Sec. A.1).
-Requires that the physician provide the woman with informational material about the physical state of the fetus which displays the statement "The State of Missouri wants you to know that the life of your unborn child began at conception..." (Sec. A.2).
-Requires that the physician provide the woman with the opportunity to view an active ultrasound of the fetus and hear the fetal heartbeat at least twenty-four hours before the abortion (Sec. A.4).
-Requires that the physician inform the woman that the fetus may feel pain if the abortion is being performed on a fetus of twenty-two weeks of gestational age or older (Sec. A.5).
-Requires that the physician present the woman, in person, with materials explaining alternative to abortion (Sec. A.6).
