Title: Allowing Pharmacists to Refuse to Provide "Abortifacients"

Vote to adopt an amendment to SB 296 that allows pharmacists to refuse to provide any act or service related to "abortifacient" drugs or devices, including (but not limited to) the RU486 drug and emergency contraception such as the plan B drug.

Highlights:
-Prohibits civil or criminal legal actions from being brought against a pharmacy that refuses to provide "abortifacients" or related services (Sec. 2). -Prohibits any board, commission, or agency of the state from denying, revoking, or pursuing disciplinary action against the license of a pharmacy that refuses to provide "abortifacients" or related services (Sec. 3). -Specifies that pharmacies that do not provide "abortifacients" or related services shall not be disqualified from receiving public funds or assistance (Sec. 4).
