Vote to pass a bill that increases the amount of evidence that must be presented in court proving abuse and neglect from clear and convincing to beyond a reasonable doubt before a parent-child relationship can be terminated. The bill also requires Child Protective Services to notify the parents of the charges against them before removing a child from their home and establishes the Family Advocacy Council and Family Advocacy Office.
