Vote to pass a bill that establishes restrictions on health care providers licensed by the state who perform surgical procedures as well as a breast and cervical cancer screening services program.

Highlights:

-Requires a health care provider, licensed by the state, to have admitting privileges at a hospital in the county or in a county adjacent to the county where they perform surgical procedures (Sec. 6). -Requires licensed health care providers to notify the patient of a hospital's location where the patient can receive follow-up care (Sec. 6). -Requires the physician performing the abortion to orally inform the pregnant woman, at least eighteen 18 hours before the abortion, of the risks and alternatives, probable gestational age of the fetus, a picture or drawing of the fetus and that the fetus might feel pain (Sec. 5). -Creates the Indiana check-up plan trust fund to reimburse health care providers for breast and cervical cancer screenings of uninsured women (Sec. 7).
