Title: Transferable Tax Credit for Film Production

Vote to pass a bill that authorizes a refundable, nontransferable 25% tax credit for qualified motion picture productions in Ohio.

Highlights:
-Allows a qualified motion picture company to apply to the director of development for a refundable, nontransferable tax credit equal to 25% of expenditures (Sec. 1). -Defines a motion picture as entertainment content created partly or wholly in Ohio. This includes but is not limited to feature length films, documentaries, videos, music videos, miniseries, specials, interactive websites, sound recordings, video games, digital media, trailers, or demos (Sec. 1). -Requires that total expenditures be over $300,000 for a company to apply, and the tax credit may not equal more than $20 million per fiscal biennium and $5 million per production (Sec. 1).
