Vote to pass a bill that requires working carbon monoxide detectors within 15 feet of every bedroom and specifies that failing to do so is a Class B misdemeanor. The bill also specifies that interfering with the functioning of any carbon monoxide detector is a Class A misdemeanor for the first offense and a Class 4 felony for any subsequent offense.
