Vote Smart's Synopsis:

Vote to pass a bill requiring businesses that receive at least $100,000 in business incentives from the state or a political subdivision to be used at least in part for construction of a building to make the public use portions of the building wheelchair accessible.

Highlights:
-Allows the state Department of Commerce or the governing body of a political subdivision to grant a waiver if providing wheelchair-accessibility would be "structurally or economically imprudent" (Sec. 1).
