Vote to pass a bill that requires state agencies to purchase contractual services only if they are performed in the United States.
Highlights:
-Excludes the following from the aforementioned contractual services purchase requirements (Sec. 1):
- -contractual services not available to be performed within the United States;
-contractual services purchased at least in part from federal monies;
-renewal, modification, or extension of contracts in effect on the effective date of this bill;
-purchases of contractual services made using certain appropriated funds by the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System;
-services that are available from a sole source because of regulation or natural monopoly;
-stationary and printing services, which shall be purchased "from the lowest responsible bidder."
