Title: Primary Seat Belt Bill
Vote to pass a bill that allows police officers to issue a $25 ticket to anyone not wearing a seatbelt while driving a car or riding as a passenger, and at least 16 years old. This bill also allows police officers to issue a $25 ticket to the driver for each passenger between the ages of 12 and 16 riding without a seatbelt. Additionally, the bill prohibits police officers from inspecting or searching vehicles that were pulled over for seat belt violations.
