Title: In-State Tuition for Undocumented Immigrants Amendment
Vote to adopt an amendment removing from the bill a provision repealing a Kansas law that provides that individuals who have attended high school in Kansas for 3 or more years; graduated (or earned a general education development certificate) in Kansas, regardless of citizenship; and in the case of an undocumented immigrants, filed an affidavit that application to legalize immigration status has or, when eligible, will be made; or, in the case a legal nonpermanent immigrant, filed an affidavit that application for citizenship has, or, when eligible, will be made, may pay in-state tuition at Kansas postsecondary institutions.
