Vote to pass a bill that authorizes cities and counties to maintain a whistleblower hotline to receive information on possible violations of state, federal, or local statutes, rules, or regulations committed by government employees.

- Prohibits the disclosure of the informer's identity without that individual's written consent, unless the disclosure is to a law enforcement agency conducting a criminal investigation [sec. 1 (e) (1)].
