Title: Bryant Amendment to Independent Counsel Reauthorization Act of 1993
Vote to adopt a substitution amendment that would amend the proposed Gekas Amendment. The Gekas Amendment would require the Attorney General to appoint an independent counsel to investigate and prosecute congresspersons. The Bryant Amendment would allow the Attorney General to appoint such counsel, but not require that one be appointed.
