Title: Withdrawal of U.S. Troops from the Balkans resolution

Highlights:

  • Note: The War Powers Resolution of 1973 requires that the President remove troops engaged in hostilities in foreign countries after sixty days unless:
    • Congress declares war, or enacts specific authorization for such actions;
    • Congress has extended by law the sixty-day period; or
    • Congress is physically unable to meet as a result of armed attack on the United States.

NOTE: THIS IS A NON-BINDING CONCURRENT RESOLUTION. IT IS NOT SIGNED BY THE EXECUTIVE AND THEREFORE DOES NOT HOLD THE WEIGHT OF LAW.
