Title: International Courts Amendment
Vote to adopt an amendment that would prohibit the United States from cooperating with an international criminal court.
- Authorizes the President to use all means necessary and appropriate to free members of United States military and certain other allied persons if they are detained or imprisoned by an international criminal court.
- Disavows any previous indication that an international criminal court has jurisdiction over any member of the United States Government or United States personnel.
- Calls for a report from the President to Congress on each military alliance to which the United States is party. The report is to include analysis of the degree to which United States personnel could be put under the command of a foreign commander and the risks such an event entails.
