Vote to table an amendment that decreases the number of Senators needed to invoke cloture.
Requires a 3/5 vote of the Senate (60 votes) to invoke cloture on the first vote.
Decreases the number of Senators needed to invoke cloture by 3 votes for each subsequent cloture vote until a simple majority (51 votes) is needed to invoke cloture.
NOTE: A SENATOR MAY MOVE TO TABLE ANY PENDING LEGISLATION, THUS HALTING FURTHER CONSIDERATION. A "YEA" VOTE IS IN SUPPORT OF HALTING FURTHER CONSIDERATION, AND A "NAY" VOTE IS IN SUPPORT OF FURTHER CONSIDERATION. TABLING MOTIONS ARE OFTEN USED TO KILL LEGISLATION.
