Vote to pass a bill that would appropriate $19.8 billion in fiscal 2003, and $700 million in emergency supplemental spending for the Department of the Interior and related agencies, for activities including conservation, fighting wildfires, land management and others.

Highlights:
  • $2.2 billion for fighting wildfires, including $1.51 billion allotted to the National Forest System and $655 million to the Bureau of Land Management.
