Title: Hydrogen Fuel Cell Amendment
Vote to adopt the amendment to S 14 that would require that the hydrogen commercialization plan of the Department of Energy include a description of activities to support certain hydrogen technology deployment goals.
- Instructs the Department of Energy to conduct research and development to support the production of 100,000 hydrogen-fueled vehicles in the United States by 2010, and 2,500,000 hydrogen fueled vehicles by 2020.
- Requires the Department of Energy to establish timetables for the development of a sufficient number of hydrogen fueling stations by 2010 and 2020.
