Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the State of California, as an employer, from using any electronic employment verification system unless such use is required by federal law.

Highlights:
-Prohibits cities, counties, and special districts from requiring employers to use an electronic employment verification system as a condition of receiving a government contract, as a condition of applying for or maintaining a business license, or as a penalty for violating licensing or other similar laws (Sec. 2). -Discourages employers in California from using electronic employment verification systems unless such use is required by federal law (Sec. 2).
