Vote to pass a section of a bill that would make it a crime for persons under 21 years old to transport alcoholic beverages, except for work-related reasons or when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Highlights:
- States that a first violation of this law shall be punishable by a driver's license suspension of not more than 30 days and a fine of not more than $250. - States that a second violation of this law shall be punishable by a driver's license suspension of not more than 60 days and a fine of not more than $500. - States that a third violation of this law shall be punishable by a driver's license suspension of not more than one year and a fine of not more than $950.
