Vote to pass a bill that prohibits employers from discriminating against an employee in hiring, termination, or any condition of employment for being a qualified patient who uses medical marijuana.

Highlights:

-Allows medical marijuana users who have suffered discrimination in violation of this bill to bring charges against an employer (Sec. 2). -Provides that employers are not required to accommodate any medical use of marijuana during employment hours, but that jails, correctional facilities, and other penal institutions are required to accommodate the medical use of marijuana by qualifying prisoners (Sec. 1). -Allows an employer to fire or penalize an employee who is impaired at work because of the medical use of marijuana (Sec. 2).
