Vote to pass a bill that mandates that paid sick leave be provided to employees in California.

Highlights:

-Mandates that employers with 10 or fewer employees provide each of those employees with at least 5 days of paid sick leave per year and that employers with more than 10 employees provide each of those employees with at least 9 days of paid sick leave per year (Sec. 6). -Specifies that paid sick days shall be provided to employees for the purposes of caring for one's personal health, providing health-related care for a family member, or recovering and taking precautionary measures after being a victim of domestic violence or sexual assault (Sec. 6). -Mandates that employees shall receive at least one hour of paid sick time for every 30 hours worked (Sec. 6). -Prohibits employers from discriminating against employees in any way for using sick days (Sec. 4).
