Vote to pass a bill that modifies regulations related to firearms and regulations related to the use of defensive force in vehicles and residences.

Highlights:
-States that a person is presumed to have acted in self defense or defense of another if he or she has used defensive force that is likely to cause great bodily harm or death to an intruder in a home or vehicle (Sec. 1). -States that a person who is lawfully in a residence or vehicle has no duty to retreat before using force in self defense, defense of another, or defense of a residence (Sec. 1). -Mandates that no landlord may prohibit a tenant from lawfully carrying or possessing a handgun in the tenant's residence (Sec. 1). -Allows a person who lawfully possesses a firearm of at least 24 inches in length to transport that firearm unloaded and in plain sight in a vehicle (Sec. 1). -Allows a person with a license to carry a concealed handgun to do so in a school safety zone if he or she is dropping off or picking up a child (Sec. 1). -Prohibits a person from recovering a claim for relief if through criminal action he or she is the cause of the injury or loss that is the subject of the claim (Sec. 1).
