Vote to pass a bill that requires insurance plans to cover autistic spectrum disorders.

-States that autism coverage will not be subject to dollar limits, visit limitations, or deductibles that are less favorable than standard physical illness limits (Sec. 4B). -Allows the insurer to request an updated treatment plan once every six months to review medical necessity of coverage (Sec. 4C). -Prohibits an insurer from denying coverage because an individual is diagnosed with an autistic spectrum disorder (Sec. 4G). -Defines what will be recognized as an autistic spectrum disorder, including Autistic Disorder, AspergerÂ’s Disorder, and RettÂ’s Disorder (Sec. 4I).
