Vote to pass a bill that changes regulations relating to possession of weapons.

Highlights:
-Allows the carrying of a deadly weapon without a permit by a person in his or her dwelling, on his or her business premises, in a means of transportation other than public transit, or on property owned, leased, or rented by that person (Sec. 2). -Allows the carrying of a deadly weapon without a permit by a person if the weapon is carried in luggage, if any portion of the weapon is visible, or if a scabbard or a holster in which the weapon is transported is visible (Sec. 2). -Prohibits the issuance of a concealed weapons permit to an individual who has been convicted of a felony unless that conviction has been expunged, set aside, or vacated or the individual has had his or her rights restored (Sec. 4). -States that a valid defense in cases of statutory rape exists if the victim is between 15 and 17 years of age and the defendant is under 20 years of age and is no more than 36 months older than the victim and the conduct is consensual (Sec. 1).
