Vote to pass a bill that clarifies health insurance rates by defining who runs health care corporations, how rates are set, and how individuals can influence rates.

Highlights:

-Requires health care corporations to file reports explaining how the health care corporation provided for residents. -Allows health care providers to charge different rates based on tobacco use and the subscriber’s participation in covered health screenings and wellness programs. -Prohibits health care corporations from refusing or limiting coverage for someone with a preexisting condition who is covered under a group insurance plan. -Requires any proposed rate change to be filed at least 60 days in advance. -Allows people to make a request for a public hearing to determine whether the proposal rates meet filing requirements.
