Vote to pass a bill to allow any state employee to serve in an additional appointed or elected public office.
Highlights:
-Allows a person in the employment of the state to serve in appointed or elected public office and receive compensation for that service without receiving payment from his or her regular employer if his or her annual leave, personal leave, or vacation leave is exhausted (Sec. 1) -Specifies that any public school employee, including an employee of a two-year postsecondary institution, shall be subject to dismissal or other penalties for failing to perform the duties of his or her position (Sec. 1).
