Vote to adopt an amendment to SB 541 that provides a premium assistance plan to help low-income residents purchase private insurance or other benefits.

Highlights:
- Provides a Phase-In Program: (sec. 5):
    - For the first two years of the program, families at and under 50 percent of the federal poverty level are eligible for assistance. - For the third year, families at and under 75 percent of the federal poverty level are eligible for assistance. - For the fourth year, families at and under 100 percent of the federal poverty level are eligible for assistance.
