Vote to adopt a constitutional amendment prohibiting local governments from increasing or levying new taxes which are not authorized by the law.
- Requires any new taxes or increase in current taxes, licenses, or fees to be approved by the majority of qualified voters in a county or subdivision (sec. 22 (a)).
- Excludes taxes imposed for the payment of principal and interest on bonds or contract obligations (sec. 22 (b)).
