- Authorizes legal gaming in counties where a notice of intent to apply for a gaming license is filed prior to three years after the effective date of this Act, and either an election has been conducted that resulted in the majority of electors approving legalized gaming or the county board of supervisors has adopted a resolution stating that no petition has been filed requiring such an election (Sec. 1). - Prohibits gaming in counties bordering the Mississippi River that have conducted more than one election on the question of whether to authorize legal gaming and the majority of the electorate have yet to approve legal gaming within the county (Sec. 1).
