Highlights:
- Defines "Sanctuary Policy" as a rule, policy, law or practice that prevents local officials or employees from reporting any person's immigration status to federal officials [sec. 2 (a) (6)]. - Withholds state funding or state administered federal funding from any local governing body that fails to provide immigration status information to federal officials or law enforcement officers upon request [sec. 2 (c)]. - Requires public employers to verify an employee's lawful presence in the United States, and withholds state funding or state administered federal funding if they are found in violation (Sec. 3).
