Title: Expanding Sex Offender Restrictions

Vote to pass a bill that prohibits registered sex offenders from residing or working within one thousand feet of common areas where minors frequently gather.
Highlights:
- Prohibits registered sex offenders from living, being employed, or loitering within one thousand feet of a childcare facility, church, school, or any other place where minors gather [sec. 4 (b-d)].
- Exempts offenders who have established residency or employment prior to July 1, 2006 [sec. 4 (e) (2)].
- Adds public libraries to the list of areas where minors gather (Sec. 2).
- Finds that any registered sex offender found to be in violation of this act is guilty of a felony punishable by not less than 10 or more than 30 years in prison [sec. 4 (g)].
