Vote to pass a bill that requires abortion facilities to offer a pregnant woman the opportunity to view a sonogram before performing an abortion.
Highlights:
- Requires the facility to document the woman's response to the offer, including the date and time of the offer and the woman's signature (Sec. 1). - Expands the Department of Health's reporting requirements for physicians to include documenting the number of women who agreed to view a sonogram before undergoing an abortion and those that refused, and of the total who agreed to view the sonogram, how many still obtained an abortion (Sec. 2).
