Vote to pass a bill that prevents first class city police officers from receiving their suspended salary if they are fired following a criminal accusation.
Highlights:
- Requires that if a police officer is served with a complaint a trial must be held to resolve the complaint within 90 and 120 days (Sec. 1). - Prevents those officers from receiving their suspended pay if they are ultimately fired as a result of the complaint (Sec. 3).
