Vote to adopt an amendment that would grant subsidies to part-time farmers, ranchers, or foresters with an average adjusted gross income that does not exceed $250,000 and to full-time farmers, ranchers, or foresters with an average adjusted gross income that does not exceed $750,000 and would increase funding for certain programs.
Highlight: - Increases funding for certain programs, including an additional $100.00 million for beginning farmer and rancher development programs over fiscal years 2013 through 2017, an additional $20.00 million for organic agriculture research over fiscal years 2013 through 2014, an additional $70.00 million for grants for state initiatives to improve broadband service over fiscal years 2009 through 2017, and an additional $40.00 million for biomass crop transition assistance programs over fiscal years 2009 through 2012.
