Vote to adopt an amendment that expresses the sense of the Senate that the United States should support a political settlement in Iraq that would create a loose federal system, and that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard should be classified as a terrorist organization.
Highlight: -Expresses the sense of the Congress that the U.S. should support a federal government in Iraq based on a limited central government by eliciting the international community's support, further encouraging Iraq's neighbors to not contribute to Iraq's instability, and convening a conference where Iraqis may agree on a plan to organize and implement such a federal system. -Expresses the sense of the Congress that the United States should urge the Iraqi government to design and implement a law to equitably distribute oil revenues among the regions of Iraq. -Expresses the sense of the Congress that the United States should officially designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran as a foreign terrorist organization and assign it to the list of Specially Designated Global Terrorists.
