Vote to pass a bill that requires electricity utilities to use renewable sources of electricity.
-Requires all electric utilities that produce at least three percent of the total energy in the state to provide 25 percent of their energy from renewable sources by 2025 (sec. 6). -Requires electric utilities that produce less then 1.5 percent of the total energy in the state to provide 5 percent of their energy from renewable sources by the year 2025 (sec. 7). -Requires electric utilities that produce at least 1.5 percent but less then 3 percent of the states total energy to provide 10 percent of their energy from renewable sources by 2025 (sec. 7). -Defines renewable electricity source as: wind, solar, wave, tidal, geothermal, and biomass, with exceptions (sec. 4).
