Title: Pre-Abortion Ultrasound Requirement

Vote to pass a bill requiring the offering of an ultrasound before an abortion can be performed.

Highlights:
- Requires the doctor who is to perform an abortion to inform the patient how to obtain a list of facilities that provide ultrasounds for free (sec. 3). - Requires that if a woman elects to have an abortion, she must be offered the opportunity to “view the fetal image and hear the fetal heartbeat” if present (sec. 3). - Requires the woman to certify in writing that she was provided with the opportunity for an ultrasound and whether or not she elected to view it or listen to the fetal heartbeat (sec. 3).
