Vote to pass a bill that lowers the minimum age for mandatory school attendance from seven years of age to six years of age.

-Excludes children who attend private school or are home-schooled (sec. 5). -Allows parents to petition for an exemption from the compulsory attendance age when the child is at least 16 years of age and either employed or enrolled in alternative education programs such as community college (sec. 5).
