Highlights:
- Allows an operator of a public establishment to request that a person carrying a deadly weapon remove his or her weapon only if the establishment provides “temporary and secure storage (Sec. 1).” - Requires that the key to the storage facility be retained by the owner of the gun (Sec. 1). - Provides an exception for licensed establishments and events and events where control of security has been transferred to the United States Secret Service (Sec. 1). - Limits the fee for concealed weapons permits to $65 (Sec. 2).
