Title: Extending Veto Override Time Frame

Vote to pass a joint resolution for a constitutional amendment that allows the legislature to reconvene after a legislative session to reconsider bills vetoed by the governor.
Highlights:
- Allows the legislature to reconsider vetoed bills that are returned by the governor less than three days before the legislatures adjournment or bills that are filed with the Secretary of State after adjournment (sec. 1). -Forbids the legislature from considering any other subject other than the previously described bills unless called into special session by the Governor (sec. 1).

NOTE: AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION REQUIRES TWO-THIRDS APPROVAL IN EACH CHAMBER FOR PASSAGE. IT MUST THEN BE APPROVED BY A MAJORITY OF CITIZENS VOTING IN THE NEXT ELECTION TO BE ENACTED.
