Title: Phthalates in Children Products

Highlights:

-Prohibits the sale, manufacture, or distribution of any children’s toy, car article, or any product to be placed into a child’s mouth that contains more than 0.1% di-phthalate, z-ethylhexyl, dibutyl phthalate, or benzyl butyl phthalate as of January 1, 2009 (Sec. 2) -Requires that replacement of the said materials must be done with alternative materials that are not known to cause birth defects, reproductive harm, or developmental harm as identified by the United States Protection Agency and are not identified or suspected to be carcinogens identified as A, B, or C carcinogens by the said agency (Sec. 2)
