Highlights:
- Establishes that on or before July 1, 2009, the California Environmental Protection Agency will determine a set of minimum green building standards, and that on or before July 1, 2010, those standards will be adopted into the California Building Standards Code (Sec. 71353)
- Requires all commercial buildings 50,000 square feet or larger to meet all minimum green building standards starting July 1, 2012, while buildings smaller than 50,000 square feet must meet minimum green building standards unless the owner obtains a waiver (Sec. 71355)
