Title: Resident Tuition for Undocumented Immigrants

Vote to pass a bill that provides in-state tuition rates for undocumented immigrants at Maryland colleges if they meet certain requirements.

Highlights:
-Establishes requirements for non-residents receiving in-state tuition (Sec. 1).
    - In-state high school attendance for a minimum of 2 years -In-state high school graduation (or GED) -Proof that the student (or their parents) paid state income taxes during their last year of high school -A signed affidavit stating that they will apply to become a permanent resident if they are not already a permanent resident
-Application for higher education must be made within 3 years from graduating from high school or receiving GED (Sec. 1). -Goes into effect for fall 2007 (Sec. 2).
