Title: Multi-State Lottery
Vote to pass a bill creating a state lottery.
-Establishes a Wyoming lottery board to administer the lottery [§1.9-2-2902]. -Allows only instant ticket type games and multi-state games operated by Wyoming and at least one other state, specifically prohibiting games based on the outcome of races or athletic events [§1.9-2-2903(a)(i)(A)]. -Prohibits minors from purchasing lottery tickets [§1.9-2-2908(a)(v)]. -Requires odds of winning to be included in any advertising for the lottery [§1.9-2-2909] -Requires at least 45 percent of the total revenue generated by lottery sales to be dispersed as prizes [§1.9-2-2910(c)]. -Allows the board to reserve up to one percent of lottery revenue for the prevention and treatment of gambling problems [§1.9-2-2910(d)]. -Designates the first $5 Million of revenue for the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission and any remaining profit to the Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources [§1.9-2-2910(e)]. -Creates criminal penalties for lottery fraud [§1.9-2-2911].
