Vote to pass a bill that awards property tax exceptions to nuclear generation facilities.

Highlights:
- Exempts new or expanded nuclear power plants within three miles of an existing nuclear facility from property taxes for ten years [sec 1 (b)]. - Requires public hearings and a permit issued by the state corporation commission before the utility could start any site preparation or construction of such facilities (sec. 3). - Prohibits local regulation and ordinances from interfering with the proceeding of construction of nuclear facilities after a permit has been issued (sec. 7). - Requires every electric utility to report electric generation capacity to the state corporation commission (sec. 8).
