Vote to pass a bill preventing undocumented immigrants from receiving in-state tuition at public universities unless the student is seeking citizenship and meets a number of other criteria.
- Prevents undocumented immigrants from receiving in-state tuition rates at public universities [sec. A (1)].
- Exempts undocumented students who have attended and graduated high school in Virginia (or received a GED), have been accepted to a public university, have lived in the state for at least three years, have paid (or whose parents have paid) income tax for the last three years, and are actively trying to become permanent residents of the U.S. [sec.
